E. Pre-Bid Conference: A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference
will be held at 1898 152nd Ave NE, Bellevue, WA 98007 (project site) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm, to answer any questions and review the scope of work in the documents. Following this meeting, a tour of the site will be given. Attendance by general contractors and interested bidders is highly recommended.

G. Description of Work Project generally consists of development of a private garden
to support educational needs of the Evergreen Transition Program including construction of a 1,594 square foot covered pavilion and storage structure, a 578 square foot premanufactured greenhouse, and synthetic turf exercise area, parking area, pathways, and site furnishings. The project also includes Right of Way improvements for public sidewalks, driveway reconfigurations, and utility connections.
H. Estimated Construction Cost: $2,300,000 Base Bid
I. Schedule: Intent to Award: On or about March 26, 2026
Notice to Proceed: On or about April 6, 2026
Substantial Completion: On or before September 18, 2026
1.2 BID DOCUMENTS
A. Free of Charge Access through Builders Exchange of Washington: Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", "Education", and "Bellevue School District". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. 1.3 BID BOND
A. A Public Works Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract is required for this work. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of a duly licensed bonding company, in the amount of 5 percent of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternate Bids, made payable to Bellevue School District.
B. The Bellevue School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. The right is reserved by the Bellevue School District to postpone contract award for a period of thirty (30) days after the bid opening. The Bellevue School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer. No bidder may withdraw the bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.
