Description of Proposal: Proposed amendments to Title 14 Unified Development Regulations for compliance with RCW 36.70A.535, Co-Living Housing, and RCW 36.70A.622, Residential Parking Regulation, including: 1. DMC 14.06 Definitions to include co-living housing, sleeping unit, dormitory, and tandem parking. 2.DMC 14.14 Multifamily Residential (MFR) (R12), DMC 14.16 MFR (R20), DMC 14.18 Mixed Use 12 (MU12), DMC 14.19 Mixed Use Institutional (MU-I), DMC 14.20 Midtown (MT), DMC 14.22 Old Town – Mixed Use (OT), DMC 14.24 Riverside Village (RIV), Uptown – 1st Avenue (UT-1), and DMC 14.28 Commercial (CO) to allow co-living housing consistent with residential uses in the same zone. 3. DMC 14.44 Parking Standards and Design for compliance with minimum off-street parking, minimum dimensions, and design requirements for residential development.
