NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY
LIMITED ACCESS PUBLIC HEARING
SR 520-148TH AVE NE INTERCHANGE OVERLAKE ACCESS RAMP


The Washington State Department of Transportation is planning improvements to State Route 520 in the vicinity of the 148th Ave NE Interchange in the City of Redmond (SR 520, MP 8.75 to MP 9.20). The improvements consist of constructing a new eastbound off-ramp from SR 520 to the Overlake neighborhood, including connections to the local street grid, and purchasing right of way and access control. The primary purpose for this project is to increase the safety and mobility of traffic in this area.
Revisions to the current Right of Way and Access Control Limits are planned for the project. The Washington State Department of Transportation is making these revisions as shown on SR 520 116th Ave. N.E. Vic. to N.E. 40th St. Vic. Right of Way and Limited Access Plan, MP 7.09 to MP 9.91, Sheets 2, 17, 19, and 20 of 22.
Should any interested persons, whose property will incur changes in Access Control as a result of this project, want to discuss and exchange information concerning the proposed improvements and revisions to the Access Control, they may contact the Project Engineer, Curt Winningham, by calling (206) 440-4301. Mr. Winningham will arrange to meet them at their convenience.
Owners of properties immediately adjacent to the project, whose properties will have changes to Access Control as a result of this project, may request a Public Hearing if they believe a hearing is necessary. Those property owners may request a hearing by writing to the Project Engineer, Curt Winningham, P.E., at Washington State Department of Transportation, 15700 Dayton Ave. N., NB82-117, P.O. Box 330310, Seattle, WA 98133-9710. The request must be postmarked no later than September 29, 2017. In the event that a hearing is required, notification of a hearing date will be furnished and a separate Notice of Public Hearing will be published in ample time for affected parties to arrange to attend.
Regardless of whether a hearing is held, all persons whose properties are affected by this project may inspect maps, drawings, and other pertinent information concerning the proposed revisions to Access Control by arranging to meet with the Project Engineer. This Notice is in agreement with and pursuant to RCW 47.52 and the Federal-Aid Highway Act (Title 23 U.S.C. 101 et seq., 128) amendments thereto.
