ORDINANCE 18617


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Metropolitan King County Council, Room 1001, King County Courthouse, Seattle, Washington, on January 8, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public testimony relating to Ordinance 18617, which adopted findings in support of and adopted for six months a moratorium on the establishment of commercial nonnative salmon net pen aquaculture facilities.
Background
Ordinance 18617 was adopted on November 27, 2017. A public hearing within sixty days of the enactment of a moratorium and the adoption of findings is required by RCW 90.58.590. This hearing is opportunity for public testimony on the moratorium.
