PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project consists of converting an existing wood-framed building to a public library for the King County Library System. The Work involves the repair and remodel to an existing approximately 5,300 square foot building, which includes, but is not limited to; utilities, landscaping, concrete work, steel framing, wood wall framing, aluminum storefront, metal siding, composite wall panels, repair and/or replacement of existing EIFS, modified bituminous sheet membrane roofing, repair of existing cement tile roofing, repair of existing brick masonry, interior finishes, doors, louvers, specialties, and mechanical and electrical systems. The project site is located at 20500 108th Ave SE, Kent WA 98031
Bidders are required to attend a Pre-Bid Conference to be held at the site: 20500 108th Ave SE Kent, WA 98031 on February 26th, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

Any proposals received after the time and date specified will not be considered. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. No bids will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or by a bid bond issued by a State of Washington licensed surety company in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid plus Additive Alternates, made payable to King County Library System.
Bid, Bid Bond and other enclosures shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope bearing the name
and address of the Bidder and addressed to the Owner per Section 002000. Mark lower left corner of the envelope Kent Panther Lake Library.
No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time set for opening unless and until award of the contract has been delayed for a period of sixty (60) days.
King County Library System reserves the right to reject all bids for any or no reason, to waive informalities and irregularities, to reject any bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time not greater than sixty (60) days from the bid opening date.
