DETERMINATION OF
NON-SIGNIFICANCE:
LOWER RUSSELL LEVEE SETBACK


King County, on behalf of the Flood Control District, proposes to replace 1.4 mile of existing levee and revetment with a floodwall and setback levee, create about 20 acres of aquatic habitat, plant about 24 acres of riparian habitat, construct a separated Green River Trail link, and relocate Van Dorens Landing Park immediately east of its current location.
The project is located on the right (east) bank of the Green River between the Veterans Drive/S. 228th St. and S. 212th St. bridges, between River Miles 17.85 and 19.25 (NW of Section 15, SE of Section 10, SW and NW of Section 11, Township 22 North, Range 4 East) in the City of Kent.
