NOTICE OF ISSUANCEDETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE. Notice is hereby given that on March 9, 2018, the King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) issued a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) for the South Plant Biogas and Heating Systems Improvements Project in Renton, WA. The project will involve construction of a new building at WTDs South Treatment Plant (STP), at 1200 Monster Road SW, to house an improved biogas upgrading system. The project will also involve installation of a new thermal oxidizer, improvements to STPs heating system, stormwater management facilities, and utility connections. The SEPA DNS and environmental checklist can be viewed at http://www.kingcounty.gov/environment/wtd/Programs/EnvPlanning.aspx. Comments on the environmental checklist and DNS will be accepted through March 23, 2018.
