The King Conservation District (KCD) Board of Supervisors will hold an election in 2018 for Seat #3 on the King Conservation District Board. All KCD Board Supervisors are public officials who serve without compensation and who set policy and direction for the conservation district.
To apply for the open position, Seat #3, submit an application to the King Conservation District by the candidate filing deadline. Candidates must be registered voters within the conservation district and may be required to own land or operate a farm. The candidate filing deadline for the 2018 KCD election is January 31st, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. (PST): see the Washington Conservation Commissions election page for more details about the application process.
The primary method of voting in this election will be by a mail-in, paper ballot that must be requested by the voter using an online or telephone ballot application process. Registered voters who reside within the conservation district boundary are eligible to vote. A hyperlink to this application will be available on the KCD website at 9:00 a.m. on March 17th, 2017 and continue through the election close at 5:00 p.m. on March 30th, 2017.
Alternatively, an in-person paper ballot polling station will also be available at the KCD Office 1107 SW Grady Way, Suite 130, in Renton, Washington. This in-person polling site will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (PST) Monday through Friday only during the voting period.

The voting period will be from Monday, March 19, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. through Friday March 30th, 2018 until 5:00 p.m. All ballots must be received by March 30th, 2018 to be valid. Because this is an on-request mail-in election, no absentee ballots are necessary.
