A, Burien, WA 98148, is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecologys Construction Stormwater NPDES and State Waste Discharge General Permit. The proposed project, Olympic Interim High School Construction Project, is located at 615 South 200th Street in Des Moines, King County. Specific Information project involves 3.5 acres of soil disturbance for the installation of portable classrooms and replacement or resurfacing of the existing asphalt parking in support of construction activities and student parking once the remodeling of the school is complete. The receiving waterbodies are Des Moines Creek and Arrow Lake. Any persons desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding Specific Information application, or interested in Ecologys action on Specific Information application, may notify the Washington State Department of Ecology in writing no later than 30-days of the last date of publication of Specific Information notice. Ecology reviews public comments and considers whether discharges from Specific Information project would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality and, if so, whether the project is necessary and in the overriding public interest according to Tier II antidegradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320.
