Kent Valley FEMA Letter of
Map Revision
Proposals Due October 3rd, 2019



The City of Kent is requesting proposals for professional consultant services to obtain a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the Kent Valley. Tasks are expected to include, but are not limited to, hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, written reports, and completion of FEMAs LOMR application process. These tasks will address flood mapping of Mill Creek, Springbrook Creek, Garrison Creek and local drainage. The City is anticipating the preparation of a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) as well as a final LOMR for submittal and review by FEMA.

Qualifications
Consultant must have extensive experience in completing applications for large scale LOMRs, hydrology, hydraulics and flood modeling. Firms must have performed similar work for other local communities and possess a strong knowledge of the City of Kent.

Pre-Proposal Meeting
A pre-proposal conference will be conducted on September 26th, 2019 at 10:00am. The conference will be held at the following address:

Kent WA, 98032.

Firms interested in preparing an RFP may attend this meeting. Applicants unable to attend the meeting may request a transcript of the meeting notes. Contact Chris Wadsworth via email (cwadsworth@kentwa.gov) to be placed on a distribution list for the meeting notes.

Proposals must be received by October 3rd, 2019 no later than 10:00am. No submittals will be accepted after this date and time.
